St Nicholas Priory, The Mint, off Fore Street, Exeter EX4 3BL

Originally part of a medieval priory, this splendid building was later lived in by the wealthy Hurst family. It is now presented as their furnished Elizabethan town house with replica furniture, sumptuous fabrics and rich colours. Come and feel at home in this historical family house.

Opening times (updated March 2010):

  • School holidays: Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
  • School term time: Saturday 10am to 5pm. Monday to Friday open for pre-booked groups: schools (£2.25 per child) and groups (£3 per adult).
  • Closed bank holidays.

Admission (updated March 2010):

  • Adults £2.50, Children up to the age of 18 £1.
  • £2 for Xcard holders & senior citizens.
  • Museum Association, FEMAG and Young Archaeologists' Club (and supervisors) members are free.
  • All children aged 8 or under must be accompanied by an adult.
