Local artists still have a chance to take part in this year's Exeter Open Studios event.

The event takes place in November and is an opportunity for local artists to showcase and sell their work by opening their studio or workplace or participating in the Open Studios exhibition.

Following a successful initial meeting in April, which established a core group of artists who will organise the third Exeter Open Studios event with financial assistance and support from Exeter City Council, another meeting has been organised for Tuesday (20 May) to take the event to the next stage.

This will be the last chance to register. Exeter Open Studios is open to Exeter-based (EX1 – EX4) artists.
Artists working in all mediums can apply: watercolours, oils, photographic prints, mosaics, pottery, jewellery and mixed media.

In 2007, 29 venues took part to show art in the working environment. A total of 84 artists participated including 38 individual artists and two artists groups. Over 2,500 people came to the event which led to sales of work worth £18,000.
