Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World

The Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World organises four exhibitions a year, including many art forms, with a focus on the social, environmental and scientific issues that concern us all today.

CCANW hosts an art gallery and project space, and organises year round events including art exhibitions, music and dance performances, workshops, talks and events in the project space and surrounding forest.

Activities for schools have included Big Draw and ‘earth art’ workshops and activities for learning about trees, the environmental benefits of growing timber and the use of wood in construction, as part of the 2007-8 Wood Culture exhibitions. 10am-5pm,  Tuesdays to Sundays including Bank Holidays.

Location
The Project Space is adjacent to the new Gateway and main car park of the Haldon Forest Park, between Exeter Racecourse and Haldon Belvedere and 5 miles (8km) south of Exeter. OS Grid ref. SX884849.
