SAVE THE TIVOLI !!

The Tivoli cinema in Tiverton was built in 1932 and has been a much-loved resource for our town, its residents and visitors for 75 years. 

 Now sadly closed, it was the only cinema in Mid-Devon and provided a welcoming traditional cinema experience showing a range of films to filmfans of all ages - the young, the not-so-young, families, singles - everyone. 

We're disappointed that despite all the effort and support of many thousands of residents and visitors, we have not yet been successful in persuading the landlords to retain the building as a cinema. 

However, the Save the Tivoli Committee is determined to continue promoting the issue and we urge the landlords to take advantage of the interest expressed by two leading west-country cinema companies who want to buy it and keep the Tivoli as an independent cinema. 

Keep the faith - and be ready to help us challenge any planning proposal that seeks to redevelop the site. Thank you.
