Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh

There's a chance to see the City Museum and Art Gallery in a whole new light on Friday 15 January, with a number of evening torchlight tours.

The 'Starry, Starry Night' event will run from 6pm to 9pm, with bookable tours of its galleries at 6.15pm, 6.45pm, 7.15pm, 7.45pm and 8.15pm. Fun, non-bookable family-friendly activities based on the New Year will also be running throughout the evening and people are welcome to join in with these either before or after their tour.

"We've got some really interesting objects and works of art in our galleries and our torchlight tours are a really good way for people to see these in a completely different light," said Marketing and Audience Development Officer, Jo Clarke.

"We ran some tours in 2009 which were really popular so although we have plenty of spaces available at the moment I would encourage people who do want to attend to phone us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!"

Admission to the tours and the New Year activities is free but places are limited and must be booked in advance on 01752 304774.

Details of the Museum's galleries and all its events and activities are available on Plymouth City Council's Museum web pages.
