Europe Direct Climate Change Fun Day Plymouth Pavilions Saturday 8 March: 10am to 4pm A free Family Fun Day to explore Climate Change and how it impacts on our lives. - Find out where your food comes from
- Check your carbon footprint
- Learn about alternative energy
- Discover how to save energy in your home
- Play the water cycle game
- See what you can do with recycled materials
- Find out about effects of past, present and future climate change on species
- Are you a winner or loser in the Climate Change game?
During the day there will be 4 short talks: - 10:30am Climate Change – what can you do at home? Greg Puncher, Plymouth Environment Centre
- 11:30am Climate Change impacts on our local coastal marine life, Nova Mieszkowska, Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership
- 2:30pm Dartmoor’s role in reducing the impact of Climate Change, Orlando Rutter, Dartmoor National Park Authority
- 3.30pm Transition City – can you imagine Plymouth beyond oil?, Lisa Peakman, Plymouth Environment Centre
